A man accused of groping a woman in a nightclub has walked free from court after his alleged victim moved away and withdrew her complaint
Michael Geoffrey Kinvig of School Lane in Santon appeared before Deputy High Bailiff James Brooks at Douglas Courthouse.
The 32-year-old had denied indecent assault in 1886 Bar and Grill in Douglas on December 12 last year.
Rachael Braidwood, prosecuting, told the hearing the woman who’d made the complaint had moved away to go to university and no longer wanted to press charges.
Mr Brooks dismissed the allegation and awarded Mr Kinvig £1,903 in costs.
