Will immigrants have to stay on the Island for 10 years before they can be given indefinite leave to remain?
Rushen MHK Juan Watterson has put the question, for written reply, to Treasury Minister Chris Thomas.
Currently in most cases, the status to stay on the Island can only be granted after five years.
However, Mr Watterson wants to know if the Island will double that timescale if the UK changes its requirements.
