The Department of Infrastructure says the Mountain Road will close for 10 days next month.
It'll shut from 9.30am on Tuesday, April 7 and is due to reopen no later than 3.30pm on Friday, April 17.
The DOI says it'll carry out a variety of essential work including resurfacing, repairing walls and taking down dangerous trees.
And it adds if weather delays the maintenance, it has an extra week in April set aside to get it done.
