How much of an impact will the proposed Mooir Vannin Offshore Wind Farm Project actually have on the Island?
A series of community information events will get underway later this month to allow the public their chance to speak with members of the Orsted team, and get a better understanding of what it'll mean to the Island.
The windfarm will sit within 12 nautical miles off Maughold head, roughly 9km closer than the wind farm visible currently from the Island's north east coast.
Producing some power for the Island is a possibility, though the economic benefits will be significant, with rent and taxes paid to government, and a commitment to invest into the Island's community.
Orsted Development Director for the Isle of Man John Galloway said he already has an idea on the type of concerns people will be expressing to his team at the meetings:

Drone ban for skateboarding championship
Pick it up plea from Castletown commissioners
New online Isle of Man guide for refugees and asylum seekers
Lifeboat called to yacht's rescue
