The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning tonight in the face of high winds.
Forecasters at Ronaldsway say the winds will reach almost gale force this evening, bringing a risk of waves washing over roads.
At risk are Castletown promenade, Shore Road in Rushen and the northern end of Douglas promenade as well as parts of Laxey and Ramsey promenades.
The warning run from 10pm until 2am tomorrow morning.
