An island charity is asking people to help it make a 'net' gain during Hedgehog Awareness week this week.
The ManxSCPA says one of the most common reasons hedgehogs have to be rescued is because they get tangled in nets.
The Foxdale-based organisation says sports and garden netting poses a huge risk to the animals and should be kept raised at least a foot off the ground to let them pass underneath.
It also says you should make sure nets are put away when not in use.
