Plans for one central housing authority have been dismissed by a working party which says a ‘local approach’ is needed.
The Western Housing Group – which consists of five housing authorities – says it’s against the Department of Social Care’s plans.The department is looking at replacing the Island’s 17 local authorities, which oversee around 2,500 social housing properties, with one body.
