Fire crews from Laxey and Ramsey tackled a grass fire near homes in the north of the Island yesterday afternoon.
Firefighters attended the scene shortly after 3pm, in a field next to a residential property in Regaby, Andreas.
The fire came close to nearby vehicles and oil tanks, with crews remaining at the scene to thoroughly soak the area and prevent it from reigniting.
The Fire and Rescue Service is urging people to avoid outdoor fires while ground conditions remain dry and to never leave a fire unattended.
