Government spent more than £21,000 of taxpayers' money on taxis last year - and the figure could be even higher.
Treasury Minister Alf Cannan was asked a question about the amount spent on cabs in Tynwald this week.
He revealed government departments monitor how much is spent themselves, and the bills are paid in a number of different ways.
Mr Cannan said it was difficult to give an exact figure:
