The government says it'll start publishing food hygiene information about the Island's cafés, restaurants, takeaways and pubs next year.
The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture says it'll consider food handling, premises' conditions and cleanliness, and management systems.
It'll use the data to produce a score between zero and five, which will be published online.
Businesses will start being inspected in January next year and the department says it'll contact companies directly.
