The Cabinet Office says 83 percent of government job applicants were Manx or British, with a roughly even split between them.
That's the response to a Freedom of Information request, which asked how much diversity, equality and inclusion (or DEI) policies influenced government hiring.
In its reply, the Cabinet Office warned the data from the past year was limited to those who'd filled in an optional equal opportunities section.
Of the 2,444 appointments over the last 12 months, 902 candidates chose not to complete it and didn't have their nationality recorded.
