The government has given a helping hand to those in need - with a winter bonus from social security.
The £300 lump-sum has been handed out to those who may be struggling to make ends meet.
More than 2,300 people will benefit, including those on low incomes, the elderly, disabled and other people on benefits.
The Treasury says the annual 'winter bonus' costs the taxpayer around £750,000 a year.
