Michael MHK Alf Cannan says government needs to talk to easyJet to ensure the longevity of an important air link.
Flybe recently sold all of its Gatwick slots to the airline ending the Isle of Man route in the process.
easyJet already provides an air link between the Island and Gatwick - the company is now looking at increasing services.
Mr Cannan says it's a vital service for the Island and one that needs to be bolstered:
