The government says it hopes to save almost £1.7 million by digitising services, using AI and setting up a new website.
Chief Minister Alf Cannan gave the figures in a written response to a question from Rushen MHK Juan Watterson about almost £7 million of proposed savings under an efficiency programme.
Mr Cannan said five areas had been looked at: people, services, assets, contracts and digital.
And he added moves such as issuing digital payslips instead of paper ones, replacing the gov.im website and renegotiating the government's telecoms contract could all contribute to the money-saving project.
