A government group has recommended that a minimum wage increase be put on hold until the middle of next year.
The Minimum Wage Committee says its recommended against any increases to it before April.
Minister for Enterprise Tim Johnston says he and Treasury Minister Dr Alex Allison will consider the recommendations of the committee.
He also says he wants to balance the needs of the community with supporting financial stability in businesses.
