Gales spark plantation warning

The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture is warning people to stay out of glens and plantations during heavy winds today.

Ronaldsway Met Office has a yellow weather warning for gales in place until 3pm this afternoon, Thursday, March 12.

DEFA says its teams will be doing checks on the state of woodlands in the following days.

It adds you can email forestry@gov.im to report any problems, or call the Department of Infrastructure on 850000 about fallen trees in roads.
