A funeral director in the west of the Island has unveiled plans for a memorial woodland.
David Lancaster Funeral Directors, based on Derby Road in Peel, has applied for permission to create the site off Sound Road in Glen Maye.
The one and a half acre woodland would be transformed with new trees planted, and be a place where people can scatter the ashes of loved ones.
In its application, the company says it doesn't expect many people to visit regularly or frequently and so the proposals wouldn't have any effect on local traffic.
