Road works throughout Foxdale will help to 'rejuvenate the village'.
Seven months of road works will start in the village on October 24th in a bid to create 'lasting benefits' for residents, motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians.
Work will include improvements to the Mines Road junction to better the road safety, more access to bus stops, reconstructed footpaths, improved storm drains and new telecommunications infrastructure.
The work will also improve the village's environment - new road surfaces will reduce the noise pollution for residents and low energy street lighting will be used.
Manx Utilities and Manx Gas will also replace the old infrastructure to prevent the road needing to be re-dug up in the future.
