Young footballers on Island will have the opportunity to take part in a scouting exercise next week, that could see them selected to go and play in America.
Student-athlete recruitment company, First Point USA, travel the world scouting talent who they could eventually offer opportunities to pursue both academic and sporting careers at American Universities.
The trial format will involve a 45 minute presentation from the team, and ultimately the opportunity for the young sportsmen to showcase their talents.
We spoke to local man Cameron Lee who lived and played in America for 6 years thanks to the scheme, he said well known local footballers such as Liam Doyle, Connor Doyle and Jack Mcvey have all been part of the scheme at one time or another.
