A man's been handed a five-year driving ban after admitting drink-driving eight years after being convicted of drug-driving.
Thammadon Hill of Howstrake Drive in Onchan appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.
The 27-year-old pleaded guilty to drink-driving on Summerhill Road in Onchan in the early hours of December 27.
Prosecutor Roger Kane told the hearing police stopped Hill after watching him clipping kerbs and swerving from side to side just before 4am.
He was arrested and at police headquarters tests showed he was one and a half times over the alcohol limit.
His advocate told the hearing Hill had been drowning his sorrows after the breakdown of his marriage.
After hearing Hill had been convicted of driving whilst unfit through cannabis in 2013, Mrs Hughes told him he obviously hadn't learned his lesson.
As well as banning him from the roads, she fined him £1,500 and ordered him to pay £50 costs.
