A Latvian man has lost his appeal against being kicked off the Island following three convictions for drunken offences in just six months.
Krists Bergmanis was living in Peel when he was made the subject of an exclusion order.
The fisherman was convicted of public drunkenness in October 2023 and March this year, and after admitting disorderly behaviour on licensed premises in April he was banned from the Island for five years and jailed in lieu of outstanding fines.
He asked Judge of Appeal Cross and Deemster Corlett to overturn his ban on the grounds magistrates had made a legal error.
However, they dismissed the appeal after hearing he'd agreed to the exclusion order being made.
