Planning approval has been granted for the first phase of Ramsey’s Regeneration.
The lanes between Parliament Street and The Quay are going to be greatly improved with new surfacing and lighting.
The Ramsey Regeneration Committee has said they are regularly receiving applications for grants from businesses to improve the appearance of their premises.
The next stages of the regeneration will see improvements made to the Courthouse, East Street, Market Hill and Market Place.
The improvements come in line with plans for a hotel and the impending arrival of the town’s new bowling alley.
The money for the improvement works have been allocated from the Government’s £8 million regeneration fund.
