Fire crews attended a pub yesterday morning after a 999 call reporting fire and smoke logging.
The incident happened at the Shore Hotel on Gansey at around 6.50am.
Crews from Port Erin and Castletown dealt with the blaze which was confined to the wooden mantelpiece above the fire in the restaurant.
The burnt materials were removed from the property within 30 minutes and a fan was used to clear the smoke.
No one was injured.
