Boilers and Other Heating Appliances Should Be Checked Once a Year
With the days getting shorter and the temperatures dropping winter
is just around the corner.
Homeowners are urged to make sure that all of their heating appliances have been serviced, with things like faulty boilers and blocked chimneys presenting real chances for fires.
Anyone planning to burn rubbish on a garden bonfire is reminded that it's illegal to burn plastics as they can emit poisonous fumes, you're also asked to notify the fire department if you're going to light a garden bonfire.
Anyone with any queries is urged to contact the Fire Safety Team.
