A pensioner from Peel who caused more than £800 worth of damage to another car after a "misjudged" parking manoeuvre has been fined.
75-year-old Pauline Dorothy Brew, of Reayrt Ny Keylley, crashed into a Mercedes on Broadway in Douglas on November 23rd last year.
She attempted twice to reverse her Suzuki into a parking space but hit the parked car - after aborting the manoeuvre she drove off.
At Douglas Courthouse last week she pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention - her advocate described the offence as "low end".
He told the court she wasn't in a position to get out and review the damage due to the traffic - the court was told the bill for repairs came to £867.06p.
Magistrates fined Brew £500 and ordered her to pay compensation of £200 and costs of £50 telling her it was a "considerable collision".
Her licence was also endorsed with six penalty points.
