An employment tribunal says the fate of a second complaint against the Department of Health and Social Care by Dr Rosalind Ranson must be decided by July 10.
Dr Ranson, who won £2.6 million after tax following her victory in a previous case for unfair dismissal, had lodged a second complaint in April last year to meet a three-month time limit for claims.
However, the tribunal says both sides have until July 10 to decide if that complaint can be settled or withdrawn.
If neither is the case, the DHSC says it will apply to strike out the case.
