Fancy helping to run Onchan?

If you think you can run Onchan better than the current commissioners, there's a chance to put your money where your mouth is.

The board says it needs to fill a vacancy after the resignation of vice-chair Fenella Logan in August.

If you'd like to stand for the local authority, you can pick up nomination papers from government offices on Bucks Road in Douglas or download them from the Cabinet Office website.

Forms have to be filled in and returned by October 16 - and if more than one person stands, the district will go to the polls on November 14.
