Face masks are to be reintroduced in patient facing clinical areas at both of the Island's hospitals.
Noble's and Ramsey Cottage Hospital will bring the Covid-19 precaution back in following the recent rise in the admission of Covid positive patients.
As it stands it only applies to Manx Care employees, and members of the public visiting people in hospital or residential homes; it won't be mandatory for people attending appointments.
The new Covid-19 variant currently circulating is more transmissible than previous strains, however for most people it is only a very mild infection.
Manx Care have reaffirmed that is only a precautionary measure.
