Engineer shortage becoming a problem

Finding skilled engineers for jobs on the Island is becoming more of a challenge.

With this in mind next week will see an engineering and manufacturing careers event held at the new training facility in Douglas.

Local manufacturers will be on hand to discuss the career options and likely future vacancies with those who are interested.

The event will also promote the two year foundation apprenticeship in engineering course.
