The Island's information commissioner has told the Department of Education, Sport and Culture to rethink its response to a Freedom of Information request.
The request asked about validation reviews in five Island schools but the department cited five exemptions and a practical reason for refusing the release all the information asked for.
Information Commissioner Dr Alexandra Delaney-Bhattacharya says some exemptions weren't applied appropriately, and there was no evidence the department had looked for some information it said it couldn't find.
It'll now have to either release the information or issue another refusal notice.
