Two men who drunkenly swore at a motorist, shop staff and random strangers in Douglas, sparking four 999 calls, have been fined a total of £725.
21 year old Kyle John Blackley of Waverley Terrace in Douglas and 28 year old Callum Thomas Radcliffe of North Shore Road in Ramsey admitted being drunk and disorderly when they appeared at Douglas Courthouse.
Magistrates heard the duo had abused a motorist on Waverley Terrace shortly before 4pm on June 19 before walking to a shop on Windsor Road and screaming obscenities at a member of staff there.
When police arrested them, Blackley boasted he’d been swearing at passers-by.
Magistrates fined Radcliffe, who was on probation at the time, £275 while Blackley, who was on bail for other offences, was fined £450.
Both were ordered to pay £125 costs.
