Drug and Alcohol Roadshow hits QEII highschool

The road shows have been going round all of the high schools endeavouring to educate the pupils on the perils of drug abuse

A Drug and Alcohol Roadshow targeting teenagers will be hitting QE2 high school today.

The road shows have been going round all of the high schools endeavouring to educate the year 9 and 10 pupils on the perils of drug abuse and its associated problems.

It’s particularly apt this week after the Drug Service & Helpline DASH revealed in their report that children as young as 12 had been seeking advice from them.

DASH will have a stall at the Roadshow aswell as Peel Police, Public Health and the Quit for You service, among others.

The prison's sniffer dog will also be there with his handlers demonstrating their drug detection methods.

It will be held in the school's sports hall until 2pm.
