An 18 year old's admitted driving without a license or insurance to go to the aid of a friend who'd crashed their car.
Aaron Paul Field of Close Eyreton in Crosby admitted two offences when he appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse this week.
The court heard he'd driven to Ballahowin in the early hours of Saturday, July 1 when his friend called him to say they'd crashed and people were injured.
Field rang the emergency services for help, although he knew his crimes would come to light.
He was fined £400, ordered to pay £50 costs and banned from the roads for six months.
