Residents are being urged to take care with their driving at this time of year.
The constabulary's Roads Policing Unit says October historically is a time when officers see a rise in the number of collisions on Manx roads as poor weather starts to creep in and daylight hours become shorter.
As a result, authorities are asking motorists to allow more time for journeys and to drive to the conditions.
Police have taken to social media to spead the message.
