The report will be assessed to see if there is any evidence to pass on to the crown prosecution service, or if it can go straight to the coroner to resume the inquest.
The report into the death of former St Ninian’s pupil Jamie Haslett is in the process of being drawn up by the Independent Police Complaints Commission in the UK.
19-year-old Jamie was killed last October when he was struck by a Police Car in Sheffield, where he was studying at the Hallam University.
Jamie was described as a well-loved and popular student with a keen interest in both music and football.
So far what is known is that the police car was helping the ambulance service with a priority incident and Jamie died at the scene.
An IPCC spokesman told 3FM that once the draft report has been completed it will have to go through an internal sign off process.
The report will then be assessed to see if there is any evidence to pass on to the crown prosecution service, or if it can go straight to the coroner to resume the inquest.
