Manx Telecom says it wants to put up dozens of new telegraph poles in Peel as it rolls out its fibreoptic broadband network.
The telecoms company has put in a total of eight planning applications to put up 27 poles in Peel as well as three on Ballagarey Road in Glen Vine.
In its applications, the company says it doesn't have infrastructure in place to provide fibre broadband and so needs the poles to carry lines.
In Peel, it's applied for work in Cronk Reayrt, Links Close, Rheast Bridson, Bellevue Park, Ballaquane Park, Creggans Avenue And Corrins Way.
