Douglas library membership doubled!

Lockdown may have brought misery to many businesses, but it's led to a lending library boom in the capital.

Douglas council says membership more than doubled over the past 12 months despite closures caused by coronavirus.

Also up was digital borrowing, which the local authority says rose by 155 per cent compared to the previous year.

The Borough Librarian says the huge increase is partly because of the Island's three lockdown periods.
