A Douglas couple have been remanded in custody as they face trial over allegations they were part of a four-strong gang that burgled a flat and attacked its occupant.
30 year old Karl Allen Cameron of Sherwood Terrace in Douglas and 33 year old Tara Lee Ashlyn Cowell of Cronk-y-Berry appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.
Mr Cameron denies burglary, criminal damage, assault and provoking behaviour on July 13 and two counts of theft on July 6.
Miss Cowell has pleaded not guilty to five charges of theft between June 23 and July 6 as well as one count of burglary on July 13.
Prosecutor Roger Kane said the duo were part of a group of people who broke into a flat, attacking the man living there and stealing an iPhone, Apple Watch, medication and a jacket.
Both were refused bail and were remanded in custody until their next appearance.
