Two Douglas Methodist churches have become the first on the Island to agree to perform same-sex marriages.
Trustees of Trinity Methodist Church and Promenade Methodist Church voted overwhelmingly in favour of the move.
Equality, diversity and inclusion officer Pam Gold says many LGBT people don't feel welcome in church and so don't go - adding the churches would love them to be part of their community.
Both churches already give baptisms for the children of same-sex couples.
