A grand opening has been held for a new adventure playground in the Island capital.
Lester's Yard at Ballaughton Park has been brought to life through a partnership between Douglas Borough Council and Isle of Play to encourage outdoor activities like building dens, growing and cooking food and working with tools.
The venue, which will be staffed by Isle of Play workers, has been named after Stuart Lester, a University of Gloucester lecturer and described as a leading figure in the field of play.
The park is aimed at children aged four to 17 and will be open after school between 4.15pm and 6pm.
