Police say a local man nearly lost his boat this morning, after its ropes were tampered with.
The Southern Neighbourhood Policing Team says shore lines for the boat were shortened in Castletown Harbour yesterday evening.
It says people were jumping off the harbour and moved the boat's ropes to do so.
Police add anybody who moves boat ropes to jump off breakwaters or harbours will be dealt with and their details passed to the victims for any civil action.
