Dippers ready to brave water on New Year's Day

One of the Island most loved annual traditions will be taking place on Monday morning, with hundreds expected to take part in the New Year's Day dip.

Scores of fundraisers will be plunging into the icy waters on beaches around the Island, watched by crowds of considerably dryer spectators.

First into the water on New Year's Day will be Port St Mary, where swimmers will brave the water at 10am.

In Castletown and Ramsey, they'll take the plunge at 11am, while Douglas and Gansey will being at 11.30am.

Peel and Laxey will host their events at midday, while Port Erin will round off the dips at 12.15pm.
