Different use for Palace Hotel being considered

A longstanding seafront hotel in Douglas could be closed to make way for a new facility in the centre of the town.

The Sefton Group has set out its future plans for the Best Western Palace Hotel and Casino following its annual general meeting last week.

A deal to re-finance the hotel complex has been agreed with Allied Irish Bank which will see the group's debt reduce by over £1 million each year.

Figures also show an increase in profitability in 2015 - chairman Clive Parrish says the plans underline the group's commitment to the Island:
