Plans have been put forward to transform a disused part of an Island youth centre to boost social interaction.
The Department of Education, Sport & Culture is seeking permission to create a football zone on unused land at Rushen Youth and Community Centre and put protective netting around the area.
The centre based on Bay View Road hosts both senior and youth clubs meetings and aims to offer activities and a place to meet for young people aged between eight and 21.
The plans are now subject to approval.
