UK Ruling Means NRG-1 Is Now Class B Drug
The fate of legal high NRG-1 has now been decided by the UK Government who have made it a class B drug.
As a knock on the Island will also adopt this classification meaning it will no longer be legal to purchase or possess the substance.
NRG-1 came on the market roughly at the same time that Mepehedrone was outlawed, and was marketed as the replacement to Plant Food, which it’s actually said to be more potent and dangerous than.
The Manx Government had vowed to take action to deal with the substance if no decision had been reached in the UK by the end of the Summer recession.
This however won’t be necessary with the move from UK meaning most importantly it won’t be readily available for children throughout the School Holidays.
