The Island's minister for education, sport and culture has met with the UK's new prime minister.
Daphne Caine spoke to Andy Burnham while in Glasgow for the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games.
The government says the PM noted the Island's strong relationship with the UK, particularly its ties to the Northwest of England.
During her time in Scotland's second city, Mrs Caine will also attend a reception at Team Wales House hosted by First Minister Rhun ap Iorwerth.
