The Island's Cyber Security Centre has continued to see a large number of purchase scams over the past few months.
That's according to its threat update for November and December, which states it received 120 reports of cyber concerns within that time.
The report says £3,580 was lost to Facebook purchase scams that was reported to them, with the total figure expected to be higher.
One of the larger losses seen came from a fake page advertising construction equipment, where a sale was agreed and money sent, but no goods were received.
The Cyber Security Centre recommends that if a company has a website, go directly to them, and to not send money to those you're not 100% sure are real.
