Following on from its successful first year in 2010 the Department of Health are once again deploying the Crash Card Scheme throughout the TT period.
The premise is simple; motorcyclists are invited to fill in the small card, listing their personal and medical details so in the event of injury medics have immediate access to crucial information.
Riders display the fact they’re carrying the card by placing a green dot on the right side of their helmet.

Russell Thornhill is the Deputy Chief Ambulance Officer, he said the take up for the scheme last year was very positive, and expects it to continue to flourish this year.
