Plans have been revealed for a £1.4 million refurbishment of Douglas Council’s sunken gardens.
The local authority is refurbishing three gardens with a children’s play area, a skate park and open space with seating.
Councillor Devon Watson says it’s worth investing in the play areas alongside extra sea defences which will be put into the sunken gardens.
Half the money – which will come from a loan – has been allocated for the play area, while the other £700,000 Marine Garden Five and The Queen’s Promenade Gardens.
Mr Watson says the authority would welcome feedback on the designs from ratepayers.
