Cork air crash report to be ready by March

The air accident investigation is continuing into the fatal Manx2.com crash last February, which claimed the lives of six people.

As yet it's believed no structural, mechanical or system failures caused the crash at Cork Airport last year, however a preliminary report did ascertain that the aircraft wing clipped the ground, flipping the plane onto its back.

The weather on the day is cited as the major contributor to the crash; with the investigators trying to ascertain why the pilots didn't divert to nearby airports.

The final report is expected to be ready for publishing in March, until that time all civil claims from the survivors and the families of the deceased will be put on hold.
